Never say never. This is a life I couldn’t have imagined, and I’m so fortunate and incredibly thankful for it. Several running lives and many mistakes—all necessary pieces of the puzzle really—led me to a path less travelled, full of reward and failure, every moment a reminder I’ll always be a student of life.
The Rob Krar Ultra Camp (RKUC) was born from gratitude to the sport and the community that changed the course of my life, providing me with a strong desire to give back and pay it forward. Sure, we do a lot of running at our camps, but it’s the friendships, adventure and experiences that stand out and create memories that last a lifetime.
One of the most common questions I get is about my diet. What do I eat? How do I eat? Do I follow a certain diet? I often struggle to answer these questions because I don’t do anything too fancy—my wife, Christina and I eat a lot of whole grains and seasonal fruits and vegetables. The thing is, though, I don’t really plan any of these meals—I’m fortunate to have a partner in life who has a passion and a gift for putting healthy and delicious food on the plate each and every day. If you want to know what I eat or get new ideas for your table, check out Christina’s food blog.
